MD representatives participated in a regional workshop to evaluate methods to monitor brown tide blooms.  Workshop goals included: development of a strategy to characterize brown tide blooms on a regional level based on best available science; identification of priority state data sets and data gaps; and recommendations for state monitoring of brown tide blooms and related parameters.
