Declines of Brown Tide in the Coastal Bays.

Brown Tide
Concentrations of Brown Tide in the Coastal Bays were down by the end of June.  Most likely due to the effect of increasing bay temperatures (maximum growth for Brown Tide is below 76oF) which are currently around 80oF.  The Spring/Summer Brown Tide sampling period will be completed in mid-July.  Sampling will resume in the Fall when water temperatures begin to cool.
