Pfiesteria detected in tributaries on the Lower Eastern Shore |

Since July 30th, Pfiesteria has been detected in Chesapeake Bay on the Manokin River (2 positive samples from July 30th) and the Transquaking River (1 positive sample from 8/2/01). Pfiesteria was also detected on these rivers earlier in the year (view Pfiesteria update, July 18th). |
